Our mission is to break cycles of incarceration by providing accessible legal relief, empowering reentry, and by building pathways to meaningful opportunities for individuals navigating the aftermath of conviction.
"It is not how far you fall, but how high you bounce that counts." — Zig Ziglar
At Post Conviction Project Inc., we believe that every closed door in the justice system should have a way to open.
We are a Florida-based nonprofit transforming the lives of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals through legal advocacy and reentry support. For too many, post-conviction law is a maze of locked doors; complicated, confusing, and nearly impossible to navigate alone. Without help, people are denied their rights, their dignity, and their chance at justice.
That’s why we step in. Through our legal advocacy, we work to protect people’s rights in the justice system and open doors that might otherwise remain shut. Whether it’s challenging wrongful convictions, addressing unfair sentencing, or pursuing post-conviction relief, our goal is to make sure everyone gets a fair shake.
But our work doesn’t stop at the courtroom door. We walk with individuals as they step into new lives through hands-on reentry programs that build job readiness, life skills, and financial literacy. These programs are designed to help people not just reenter society but step confidently through the door of opportunity — rebuilding with purpose and stability.
We are proud to be certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a criminal defense legal aid organization — one of only two in the state with this designation — and the only one focused specifically on criminal appeals and post-conviction relief.
At Post Conviction Project Inc., we open doors: to justice, to opportunity, to second chances. Because when one person walks through, families are reunited, communities grow stronger, and hope has room to flourish.
